Ryan Leonard is a Senior Managing Director at IEQ Capital and has advised high-net-worth entrepreneurs, business leaders, and their families for nearly two decades. He works with clients to integrate the firm’s comprehensive family office capabilities, helping develop comprehensive wealth strategies that encompass investment allocation, estate planning, tax planning, philanthropy, and multi-generational objectives. He and his team play a key role in IEQ’s expansion across the Mid-Atlantic region.​

Prior to joining IEQ, Mr. Leonard was a Private Wealth Advisor at Goldman Sachs, where he worked directly with wealthy clients and endowments across the country. Before his career in finance, he served in the military for ten years as a US Army Aviation officer, attack helicopter pilot and unit commander, with assignments across multiple overseas deployments and duty stations following his graduation and commissioning from West Point.​

Mr. Leonard serves as the Endowment Committee Chair of St. Thomas’ of Whitemarsh, the 17th oldest church congregation in the country, and as Elective Committee Chair of First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry, an actively serving Army National Guard unit and historic military organization which is the nation’s oldest continuously serving unit in the US Armed Forces.​

He holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point where he was a member of the Army Rugby team. He earned his MBA with a focus in finance from Columbia Business School.​

Mr. Leonard lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife and three children and enjoys trail running with their golden retriever. He is a lifelong reader and student of history, and a later-in-life amateur weekend polo player. ​
