Santosh Dhital is a Director on IEQ Capital’s Family Office team, where he supports income tax planning for the firm’s ultra-high-net-worth families. He works closely with client teams, CPAs, and attorneys to address complex tax matters and develop clear, actionable guidance that considers both planning and reporting requirements. His work spans equity compensation and concentrated stock positions, QSBS and liquidity planning, charitable giving, and donor-advised fund strategy, partnership and pass-through taxation, entity structuring, real estate, and multi-state residency planning. He also helps scale the firm’s tax capabilities internally, developing the tools, training, and planning resources that bring tax insight to advisory teams firmwide.
Before joining IEQ Capital, Mr. Dhital spent nearly six years at Realize CPA, a Bay Area public accounting firm, where he worked directly with the firm’s partners on individual, partnership, and closely held business tax planning and compliance fora high-net-worth client base. His experience spams tax planning, and fund strategy with a focus on documentation, defensibility, and coordination with a family’s broader advisory team.
Mr. Dhital holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, East Bay, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Mr. Dhital resides in El Sobrante, California in the East Bay, and outside of work, he is a devoted soccer fan, following the game year-round.
