Our Team
Michael Henry is a Managing Director at IEQ Capital with over two decades of experience across the finance, legal, and entertainment industries.
Mr. Henry joined the founding IEQ Capital team in 2019, where he focuses on providing counsel on investment strategy, asset allocation, and multi-generational wealth planning high-net-worth individuals and families. Mr. Henry is a member of the firm’s Senior Investment Panel and assists the IEQ Investment Committee regular performing due diligence on new investment opportunities across public and markets and analyzing market trends.
Mr. Henry began his wealth management career at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where he served as a Financial Advisor. In this role, he worked with families to develop personalized financial strategies tailored to their unique goals and circumstances. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch in 2015, Mr. Henry pursued entrepreneurial ventures as a professional touring musician and co-managed an independent record label. During this time, he also worked in the Financial Markets practice at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in New York City and at Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto, a firm focused on intellectual property. Mr. Henry began his career at PwC in Atlanta.
Mr. Henry has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations focused on addressing homelessness and sustainability. He also serves as a guest lecturer in finance for master's-level courses at the University of San Diego.
Mr. Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and maintains the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designations.
Mr. Henry resides with his wife and children in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
