Michael Thompson is a Managing Director at IEQ Capital and has provided investment advice to wealthy families and institutional investors for nearly two decades.
Before joining IEQ Capital, Mr. Thompson spent 15 years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, focusing exclusively on serving the financial needs of complex families and institutions. His responsibilities included managing portfolios across equities, fixed income, commodities, derivatives, hedge funds, private equity/credit, structured credit, and estate planning. Mr. Thompson began his career in institutional equity sales in New York City, specializing in the tech media and telecom sectors. He provided equity research and market data services to hedge funds and leading asset managers.
Mr. Thompson is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Nashville Technology Council and the Help Us Grow Foundation. In 2021, he was recognized for his leadership as a participant in the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard Business School.
Michael Thompson is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
